Biographical

B. Christopher Lee is Of Counsel at Kurtz and Partners, P.C. Mr. Lee concentrates his practice in construction law, design professional liability litigation and other complex commercial litigation and dispute resolution. He devotes a significant amount of his time serving as a mediator of complex commercial and construction disputes for the International Centre for Dispute Resolution and the American Arbitration Association on the Commercial, Construction, International, Large Complex Case,Mega Case and Master Mediator Panels.


Mr. Lee is also an active member of the National Construction Dispute Resolution Committee, which is the advisory committee to the American Arbitration Association (free log-in required). Since 2006, Mr. Lee has been annually selected by his peers as one of less than a dozen Philadelphia lawyers listed in The Best Lawyers in America (Woodward/White, Inc.) for Construction Law. In 2013, Mr. Lee was dually selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® in the areas of Construction Law and Construction Litigation.  In 2016 he was listed for Mediation.

Mr. Lee is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators,  the College of Commercial Arbitrators and the American College of Civil Trial Mediators.  He has also been appointed to serve as a Judge, Pro Tempore, for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Commerce Program, through which he assists the Court in resolving complex cases. In 2009 he was certified by the International Mediation Institute.  He is a frequent author and lecturer on construction and alternate dispute resolution issues.

Rates Information

ARBITRATION: $575 Per Hour plus reimbursement of all out-of-pocket disbursements/expenses. Hourly rate applies to all services rendered after initial engagement, including conference calls, study time & start-up activities, travel, deliberation and drafting. MEDIATION: $675 per hour. Hourly applies to all services described above except no charge for travel time or expense in North America.
