Biographical

Patrick Kingsley is an experienced ADR practitioner with over 29 years as a litigator focusing on construction litigation.  Mr. Kingsley has served on the Construction Panel for the American Arbitration Association for the last eleven years.  He has served on the Panel of Distriguished Nuetrals of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR) since 2019.  He has presided over a variety of construction disputes, both as a sole arbitrator and on panels.  He has served as the chair on large construction disputes.  As an advocate, Mr. Kingsley has represented contractors, owners, design professionals, subcontractors, architects, engineers, suppliers, vendors and, most frequently, sureties.  Surety representation typically involves analyzing and resolving competing interests of owners, general contractors, design professionals, suppliers and subcontractors.  For that reason, Mr. Kingsley is comfortable in the middle of those competing interests, evaluating and adjudicating them.  Mr. Kingsley chairs his firm’s construction practice group and ADR practice group.  Mr. Kingsley has been involved in disputes involving delay claims, differing site conditions, change order disputes, bid disputes, poor workmanship claims, defective material claims, design errors, lose productivity claims, survey errors, toxic exposure claims, warranty claims, latent defects, performance bond claims, payment bond claims and indemnity claims.  Mr. Kingsley has been involved in disputes involving roads, bridges, stadiums, high rise constructions, prisons, sewer systems, waste water treatment facilities, spray irrigation facilities, schools, shopping centers, airports, residential subdivisions and residential housing.  Mr. Kingsley frequently serves as an adjunct professor at Rutgers Law School in Camden, NJ instructing students in trial tactics.
